CURVED STAIRLIFT

If your stairs feature a turn, bend or curve at any point between the top and bottom, then you’ll need a curved stairlift. It gets its name from the curved stairlift rail that the carriage moves up and down. Even if your stairs bend at a right angle or double back on themselves, the rail must curve around the sharp bends to give a smooth ride. Each curved stairlift rail is a one-off, built to exactly follow the contours of the stairs it’s installed on. That’s why curved stairlifts cost more than straight ones and take a little longer to install.

Because the curved stairlift is bespoke, customers might wait weeks for it to be manufactured in a factory then shipped to their home – but not with Acorn. It has slashed customer waiting times with its patented FastTrack® system. It uses a choice of ready-made interlocking rail sections to assemble a bespoke curved rail in the customer’s home in just a few hours. A home survey determines which sections are needed and the stairlift can be installed within days.
