STRAIGHT STAIRLIFT

If your stairs run in a straight line from top to bottom, with no bends, turns or curves, then you’ll need a straight stairlift. It gets its name from the straight stairlift rail that the carriage moves up and down. A straight stairlift is the simplest to install and also the most affordable type, because the standard straight rail only needs cutting to length to fit the stairs. The Acorn 130 Straight Stairlift is the latest generation of its original ‘Superglide’ model and has been continually developed, refined and improved over almost 30 years.

A GREAT SOLUTION, STRAIGHT UP!

If the staircase that causes you a problem is a straight one, then the Acorn 130 is a simple, effective and cost-effective solution. Its single straight rail is made from light-but-strong extruded aluminium and is fixed to the stairs, not the wall. That means there’s no need for messy and disruptive structural work, and the stairlift can be removed almost without trace if it’s no longer needed. The Acorn 130 stairlift carriage is among the most compact on the market, making it ideal for narrower staircases. Installation usually takes only around an hour.

SPECIFICATIONS

The seat, armrests and footrest of the Acorn 130 carriage all fold neatly away when not in use, making it easier to pass on the stairs. The stairlift’s maximum carrying capacity is 300lbs (19.9st), but a heavy duty version increases the carrying capacity to 350lbs (25st).
